So, a quick update on why **The Penultimate Page** didn't quite go according to plan.

There have been a few curveballs.

I've moved into a hostel for the moment — somewhere simpler, cheaper and closer to the water, where I can exercise, swim, work and figure out the next chapter.

And then, of course, there's **the suitcase saga**.

I've spent the last few months trying to recover my suitcase and personal belongings that remain tied up in Spain. What started as something that should have been relatively simple has turned into mediation, visits to the authorities here in Huatulco, an evidence trail, and now a formal process that I'm waiting to see unfold. I've done what I can for the moment, so now we wait.

There have also been some rather unexpected **religious mishaps** along the way — which, ironically, have opened up an entirely new rabbit hole for NEE.

So the penultimate page wasn't quite so penultimate after all.

For now, I'm thinking…
